XL for whom? Pushes the head

Not sure what counts as XL. I wear a size 7.5 hat and it squeezes my head. While I like the functionality (for me it's fly fishing) long term use is not recommended. I can't imagine reading a book for hours while these guys gouge my eyes out. I'm curious if others here feel the same way.
