Was looking for something to melt butter for popcorn. I boil water in a Pyrex pitcher. Put the oil in this small coffee carafe and place it in hot water. The water heats the metal, which melts the oil. After anointing the popcorn, I wipe the carafe down with a paper towel and put it in the dishwasher. Putting the popcorn in a large round bowl and tossing it while you drizzle with oil will give you more coverage.
