I bought this box in addition to a very similar one I bought exactly 2 years ago. After several attempts I couldn't buy another of the same type and ordered this one as it turned out to be quite close in size. I intend to create one for caffeinated teas and one for decaffeinated varieties to help guests choose. This box appears to be slightly larger - about 1.5cm or 1/2 inch taller than the first box. This is good as the tea bags can stand fully upright in each compartment. The previous box required the tea bags to be tilted slightly, preventing the compartment from being completely filled with tea bags. That's a small positive factor. However, there are a number of other differences that didn't sit well with me. The new box is said to have an oil finish, but it's very difficult to understand how that could be. It arrived in decent outer packaging, but was covered in fine dust from the manufacturing process and no matter how hard you wiped it, the dust kept coming out of nooks and crannies, requiring a visit to a carpenter shop for a good cleaning. pressure dust extraction. The bamboo appears to be completely unfinished and a light polishing proved it was. The fit and workmanship is also at least one class below my previous box. Tolerable, but the lid isn't quite as big as the box and is screwed on a little crookedly. Clean it before packing. So I'll give it a 2, not a 3. I'll also note that my previous box was $12 and this one was $20.
