Wide range of dolls but I would avoid the wavy/loose curls

(wife): We have four Made to Move dolls: Blue Top (Brunette Yoga), Purple Top (Asian Yoga), Pink Top (blonde yoga) and tan/dark Made to Move Barbie t-shirt. This review is dedicated to the Blue Top (Brunette) doll in particular, as well as Made to Move dolls in general. I love how they can wear both flat heels and heels (or a combination of both) and wear regular Barbie clothes (more or less, although spandex-like materials work best, I'm learning). I love all the poses these dolls can take. In fact, these are wonderful dolls, don't get me wrong. They are typical for brunettes (blue top). What I'm not particularly interested in about brunettes (Blue Top) is that while you may like their wavy hair, it's actually the least of it. controlled puppets that we have. I suspect a tan (orange top) might have a similar problem, although I'm not sure as we don't have one. Those with straight hair that you can tie in a ponytail have hair that's manageable enough as long as it's not too sticky. (Read Mattel's "sticky head" Barbie if you don't know her.) Our brunette (Blue Top) doesn't seem to be the "sticky head" but our "sticky head" of our Made to Move dolls. There weren't any really bad problems with the glue. (I'm guessing all three remaining dolls are "sticky heads". So far that's not a big problem for us - they weren't as bad as our 2010 Camping Fun Skipper/Chelsea set. Wow, our Skipper had a lump (.sticky/greasy, coarse hair. Even when I parted my hair and when we played with the dolls, over time the glue wasn't a problem.) Note: While our brunette might not be a "glue head," her perm didn't last very good, to the extent that she sometimes has a slight bald spot above her forehead when her hair is not set properly. This is another reason I recommend straight hair dolls. (We don't have dolls with buns or hair up. Maybe that would work too.) Made to Move Yoga vs Football (tanned complexion - dark hair version) has soft/flexible arms. Our yoga dolls don't do this for obvious reasons and it helps them do headstands. If I can get her to balance properly, yes I can get her to do both the headstand and crab pose. So I appreciate different hands for different functions. Just for your information. More general information about Made to Move dolls. These dolls are not the most aesthetically pleasing compared to the old school barbies. But what they lose in looks they absolutely gain in skills. So I just ignore the less attractive aspects of the joints. These dolls can't straighten their legs into a fetal position, but they can do way more than any barbies I've ever seen. I mean, come on, sitting cross-legged on the floor? (Ironically, yoga dolls didn't come with Barbie yoga mats. They were still good dolls.) I confess: I didn't allow my daughter to use these dolls in the water. To be honest, I think fashionista type dolls are more appropriate for a pool party. However, water can penetrate into many joints, which can later lead to mold growth. I do not know. Bottom line: Made to Move Barbie dolls are the kind of Barbie dolls I wanted as a kid about 25 years ago. Despite the head/hair issues - and flaws in terms of aesthetics and probably less usability for pool parties, by the way - I find them amazing. I definitely recommend adding at least one to your Barbie collection. I would only recommend those with more manageable hair, that's all. "Help me! I'm looking for a light skinned brunette barbie!" One final note: if you're looking for a light skinned brunette, I personally have a hard time finding one. The Made to Move soccer player we received was a dark-haired brunette with a tan complexion, which was a good approximation. On the other hand, there's a Barbie in a purple top and a blue yoga top - and I think a Barbie on a skateboard - which might also be roughly a match. At least that's the best I know of.
