They don't stick well to bare wood
I love the light that fills the dark corners of my kitchen. Unfortunately, adhesive strips don't last long. They come with screws to hold them in place, but the bottom of my cabinets is thin and the screws come in from the bottom of the storage space. Maybe I'll get some wood to attach to the bottom of the cabinets to use. I like them a lot, I just can't attach them to the building material the house was built with in 1989. If your cabinets have a thicker bottom (2/4 to 1/2 inch) it's probably fine. Mine might be 1/8 inch.
