I had a duvet with the same reversible design in the 1990s and early 2000s but over time it wore out and I did eventually gave up. Thinking about it recently I was really excited to see I could still get it here at Revain so I ordered it. The design is as great as my original and the size is the same. Since I bought it mainly for decorative purposes, I am quite satisfied with the blanket. But when it comes to rating and giving stars, I honestly have to say that the fibers used are thinner and generally of a lower quality than my old blanket, which was very thoughtful and very soft. This blanket is thinner and not soft at all. I also wonder if the colors used to dye the fibers will last as long as they did on my first quilt, as other materials were clearly inferior to my first quilt. I really don't expect this one to last 15 years like my old one, even though I don't have cats like I did in the 90's. I would say if like me you love design and want it for decoration. , go and buy. It may not last for centuries, but it actually looks just as exquisite as the pictures. But if you are looking for something thick, warm and soft against your skin, this is not the blanket for you. And probably not the best choice as a gift unless you know the recipient cares more about looks than feel or durability.
