This more than met my expectations in terms of eliminating the need for a proprietary power adapter and providing a USB 3.0 data connection. Now I can use a USB-C PD power bank to charge my phone, tablet, laptop and surface pro. The only downsides are the fragility of the case and the height above the connector, making it easier to detach. The data port is best used for peripherals that are not prone to connection errors or frequent hot-plugs. A keyboard or mouse button works well here, freeing up the main USB for a flash or SSD. Live booting an OS that required a non-BT keyboard used to be a problem with just a USB.
