Canon cameras are notorious for not producing pure HDMI when autofocus is engaged. As far as I know, this is the only cheap Canon camera that has HDMI-only output + autofocus enabled. As a content creator, this is extremely helpful as I can use the camera to live stream or record. The camera does not overheat even after many hours of streaming. One downside is that autofocus is a little slower compared to the M50. One felt that the M50 could switch autofocus a little faster. Chances are, unless you divert your attention very often, most people won't notice.
