One of the two output plugs in the device received is defective. I contacted the manufacturer and they asked me to open the block and check for soldering. That's exactly what I did. Processing was not acceptable. Looks like they ran out of the correct connector that was then designed for the board and the replacement didn't fit. The pins were bent and the board barely connected to the power pins that supply all the voltage and current. This is dangerous and will cause overheating at the joints. As an electronics engineer, I take my time to draw and cut the circuit board, shape and re-cut the connector to fit the connector, and rewire with heavier gauge wires and connectors. The inverter is now working well and I no longer worry about fire hazards or failure of a specific part of the unit. I will keep a close eye on this in case another part of the device suffers from the same quality issues.
