In contrast to ultrasonic cleaners, manual methods require frequent water testing, rinsing, and disinfecting. "efficiency" for wetting is less strong. But that's precisely why we call it a "air cleaner"! But there is no condensation, steam, or white film (who has hard water) to be found. The reviews suggest that the resource required is significantly lower than that of ultrasonic ones.
