I thought Hansgrohe had a quality product. I did not research a simple wall bend/coupling as I assumed that it was a quality product from Hansgrohe. Ordered this product along with over half a dozen other Hansgrohe shower parts and this Axor Starck X wall socket was a disgrace to Hansgrohe. The whole cover is just chromed plastic. It snaps onto a black plastic base surrounding the 1/2 inch elbow (the only brass part of the entire assembly). In fact, this is a hollow part.
