Review on Bona Hardwood Floor Spray Cartridge by Kim Mills

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ergonomic design, can be used for mending.

This is a great reusable mop but I wouldn't recommend it for a deep clean. Here's a list of the pros and cons I've encountered with the BonaKemi Spray Mop: Pros: -- Easy to assemble and comes with everything you need to get started. Just put everything together and you're done. - Washable mopping pad. I love that there is nothing to throw away with this mop, just wash the mop head in the washing machine and let it air dry! - Excellent, even spray. Usually one spray is enough to clean an area of about four square meters, but I prefer to clean this way. The spray is very fine and yet does not cause flooding directly in front of the pad. -- Stable attachment of a mop to a mop. The pad attaches to the mop head with four very sticky Velcro straps. Even when the pad is wet, the grip is excellent. Don't worry about losing the pad when mopping, even with hard scrubbing. - Reusable tank. No need to keep buying individual containers of cleaning solution, just buy in bulk and reuse the same container. The part of the container that fits into the spray mechanism on the handle unscrews to fill. There are rubber washers on the outside and inside of the tank which do a great job of preventing leaks. --Ergonomic design. The trigger grip is a comfortable thickness even for a small hand. It's not too tiring to keep spraying (although it doesn't really have to be), and the slight bend and ridges down the center of the stem keep your guiding hand in place. -- Large mop size! BonaKemi is the perfect size to quickly clean large areas of floor and its narrower width makes it ideal for getting into cracks and corners. - Family chemistry! Chemical cleaners are safe for kids and pets, so it's (somewhat) nice to know that that slice of tangerine your kid just ate off the floor is free of dirt and toxic chemicals. Cons: -- Spray mechanism. sometimes leakage occurs, causing drops to fall on the top of the mop head and the product to spill. Honestly, it's not a huge leak, but it's worth noting. --For more efficient cleaning, you need more mop heads. If you don't like running to the sink every four feet, you'll need some pads when cleaning your room with this mop. -- It's not a "big job" mop. Because this mop only uses mopping cleaner, large messes may need to be cleaned up with other products first. Even if your wooden floor is exposed to shoes (and subsequent dirt) all day long, don't expect this mop to pick it up all at once. We always take our shoes off indoors, but we celebrated and let the guests stay in their shoes. I've wiped the floors with this mop FOUR TIMES (washing the pads periodically) and still wringed out the dirty water! This is great to use between your more thorough mopping jobs to keep floors in good condition. I like that the cleaners are not harsh and are safe for children and pets. I daresay this is a more economical choice compared to disposable mop pads as both the reusable pads and the extra cleaning solution are very affordable. The cleaner also leaves no streaks on hardwood, which is VERY nice! I recommend this product to anyone looking for a quick and effective way to keep their hardwood looking good.
