Not all screens are created equal: This one didn't come with a touch button and cable like the other two I bought for home repairs. I reused the old cable and button with this replacement digitizer and indeed, after cutting the original taped cable it has not taken root in its new home. This iPad lost the ability to print fingerprints easily because the button was too deep into the case for good contact. I removed this screen to try to mount it higher and sure enough the glass cracked. 20 bucks down the drain. SO: Make sure you buy a model-specific replacement that includes a NEW TOUCH BUTTON that costs a few bucks more, trust me!
