Arrived a little late due to a problem with the carrier but they fixed it right after we contacted them. The triangular side is soft and the "back" is stiffer, although I suppose either side could face up because both are so cute. Colors as in the pictures. The zipper seems to be of good quality and there are corner ties to avoid that annoying lump that duvets sometimes cause without them. Royal pillowcases are also valuable, although I personally hate sleeping on royal pillows, they will serve as cute and whimsical decorations. The packaging was beautiful and made a good impression! Just one night in bed. I'm happy with it, although I'm not sure why the price is higher than other duvet covers, I think around $50-60 would be a fair price too. If there are any changes after the first wash, I'll let you know!
