I bought this scarf for travel. I hope to use it for a shawl, shawl and blanket. This adds warmth and style without being hot. Upon arrival there was a slight smell. I washed it in the washing machine on the gentle cycle and "air" dried it for just a few minutes. They completely eliminated the smell and had no fluff at all. I decided that if it fell apart in the wash I would buy a different product. It's a big scarf and the thought of hand washing it was impossible.
