I really love this stuff! It comes with so many stencils, but my brows are a bit wider than the stencils, plus I prefer freehand shaping. I also like my pointy brown ponytail so freehand is best. I also don't like stamped or tattooed eyebrows (at least for me). I used the brow brush that came with the powder as well as the opposite end to apply the powder to fill in and shape my brows. This technique is much easier to achieve a heavy dark brown tail and light shading or smooth beginning of the brow ridges. I recommend using the end of a makeup brush to apply powder to ensure the powder stays in place more easily. It really lasts all day and doesn't make a mess unless you're clumsy and messy.
