I recently bought this laptop pad to watch movies on my laptop while lying in bed or on the couch without cooking for me or my laptop. All requirements were thus fully met. The pillow is durable, lightweight and portable, with high-grip rubber surfaces on the top and bottom. However, today I discovered how handy it is as a lap table! Perfect fit for our HP 2540p (12 inch screen size) and Dell Inspiron 14 inch. Although the mouse pad area may seem small at first glance, you can attach a full-size wireless mouse to it and still have room. The choice of a left- or right-handed mouse pad is a bonus. no mouse? No problem. This is a handy tray for your CD or DVD so you don't get lost in the folds of the couch or crunch when one of our oversized dogs (we have three) decides to snuggle up on the bed and watch too! However, NOT suitable for drink holders! Even my old 17-inch Toshiba Satellite laptop fits snugly enough (hanging about an inch on each side) for my feet to hook into the padding and allow for proper ventilation. Warm? Yes, a couple of hours with an old Toshiba soaks the feed. Solution ? A stadium seat cushion is best, but a thick folded towel or even a pillow will solve this problem. I will be buying another one to avoid possible domestic disputes over who will be using this pillow! This "cushion" comes highly recommended for its versatility, compact size (fits right in your laptop bag), and sturdy construction. Great deal at $19!
