I have tried several pairs of novelty socks for my daughter, who loves them. Most are poorly made and fall apart after one or two washings, or they are so uncomfortable and ill fitting that you can't wear them. I am pleased to say these socks are not like that!These are typical socks in the texture -- they are not overly soft nor are they itchy. The design and fit are nice and they have a lot of stretch to fit different sizes of feet. I received size M which is supposed to fit size women 6-8. I would say that is a great size range. It fits my daughter who wears a 5, and her sister who is a 9. I wear an 11 and get get them on but they are obviously stretched to the limit and I would not wear them long term.Before putting them on I noticed that the heel of the sock is thick and I worried it would feel like a cotton ball under your foot but it actually stretches and feels quite nice when the sock is on. The toe seam lays mostly flat and is only a little bothersome on the sides of toes, a common problem with socks. The top of the sock is tight enough to keep it up but not so tight that it is uncomfortable.My daughter is thrilled and I am too!Made in China. No content labeling but the listing currently says 80% cotton, 2% nylon, 13% spandex, 5% elastic. We put them through the washer and dryer without any problems.
