Review on Tamrac Stratus 15 Camera Bag by Christine Flores

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks small, but can withstand a lot!

I wanted a bag that would fit my two cameras and 3 lenses. Changing lenses off-road, especially in strong winds or on the beach, is generally not recommended. I have two cameras, a D750 and a D500, so I use the D500 with two zoom lenses (200-500 f/5.6 and 70-200 f/4) and the D750 with 16-35 f/4 for landscapes and wide angle, so for me it is very important to have both cameras in the same bag and to be able to use them depending on the scene that is in front of me. is not waterproof and does not come with a rain cover that protects it not only from rain but also from dust and sand. However, the material from which the bag is made withstands all this, but not to the extent that it will stand out in the rain for long. That at least gives you time to get back to your car or some sort of shelter where nothing gets wet inside. In this bag I carry: - D500 with 200-500 f/5.6 mounted - D750 with 16-35 f/4 lens mounted 70-200 f/4 - 50 f/1.8 lens - Extra battery, remote control for D750 etc. Yes, it is difficult to carry, but it allows me to carry both cameras with my favorite lenses. If I need a flash, I can wear my SB-700 on my belt and still have both cameras. I can also carry TT5 pocket magicians on my belt in case I need them for a mission. Even though the bag isn't advertised as waterproof and comes with a rain cover, I give it 5 stars because it was the only bag (after two others, one from Tamrac and a Lowepro) that allowed me to carry everything. I need.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
