It's annoying how good they are.

$299 my ass. Quest 2 requires this accessory. There's no point in them gutting us like that. First, they're still paying money for the crappy strap and horrible face pad that comes with it, knowing full well that it helps the economy by making us want to upgrade, but it's so wasteful and embarrassing. the original, even the original with a stupid rubber case like it's so good that I'd sell the headset if I had to use it in its original form afterwards. It's garbage. This? The lenses no longer fog up (unless you put them in wrong or take a big nap I think) so you can finally see what's going on. Higher field of view. Do you understand what I'm saying here? You literally see more with them. For example, why isn't this the default? I thought Oculus sold VR glasses? Don't you know it's important to be able to see? That's convenient. For example, the shield for your nose is deeper, thinner, but at the same time more rigid. No rubber valve, but a thin shell that gently encloses your nose, giving it space so it doesn't even have to come into contact with your skin. This is partly why the lenses don't fog up. No more painful sitting on your cheekbones. It's much less likely to slip, not only is it pressing against your face, it's actually trying to stretch and take the shape of your face. Allows you to get deeper into the glasses and see more in the lens, so the field of view is higher. It literally looks like it should come standard with Oculus, and the fact that I had to pay $27 to get it is a little annoying. It's bullshit and they know it because the Oculus Rift S has what it basically has out of the box. Also buy a halo strap. I honestly can't stress that enough. In fact, I won't even go into detail because that's really all you need to know. You didn't use your headset until you got your Halo strap. It's only logical folks, the Halo setup goes around your head and the headset sits on a strap on the ring, meaning the headset then hovers in front of your eyes. , and you can lower it and even raise it again. This is plus halo = terrain. Promise.
