I have been wearing silicone rings for many years. When you are active, they are more secure than traditional rings. In addition to lifting weights at the gym, I also work at a construction site, and it's better to rip off the ring than rip off your finger (in case it gets caught somewhere). last. They are not meant to last forever. Therefore, don't pay hundreds/thousands of dollars for an engagement ring if you choose this route as your everyday ring. I really like this particular ring with the added metal detail. Makes it more noticeable I think. As I said, being very active with my hands, I probably wear mine out quicker than most people. This ring lasted me 2 months and 1 week before the metal looked like the 'plating' was peeling off and discoloration. Knowing silicone rings aren't meant to last forever, and because I really like this ring, I went back to Revain to order a replacement (rather than complain). Happy regular customer.
