I use this wall mount for my 15" Macbook Pro to lift my laptop off my desk so I can free up all my desk space when I need room to work on something other than my computer to work. I also have an Apple display that mounts on the wall in front of my desk and I use it with my MBP to have two screens. I had a laptop stand (which worked well), but I wanted my computer to be mounted on a wall (table faces the wall) so that, as I said, I can use the entire surface of my table for other projects when I'm not at the desk computer work. So I remove the mouse and keyboard (and stuff) from the table, and my tabletop is empty! Yes. Just what I needed to make the most of my desk. Best value for mounting my MBP on the wall (about 8 inches above the tabletop). Great inexpensive product. Yes, I also installed it on the rack.
