Pound-A-Peg is a very simple and well made toy. My daughter (8 months old) can hold a hammer, although it's a bit heavy for her, so she almost manages to hit the pins at a fun angle! happen and they are also completely removable. The posts on the side are symmetrical, so you can just flip them once the pins meet one side. The wooden pegs are absolutely smooth, my daughter likes to gnaw on them, the only non-smooth part is the hammer, the corners. Well, corners. It arrived with a red spot on a beech, about 2.5cm tall. It wasn't a problem for me, but if I expected everything to be perfect, maybe it would have been.
