I have Windy, Fairtex and other brands from Thailand and America. I personally use Fairtex, but some people don't have that much money to invest in good stuff. The RDX offers enough comfort and protection for sparring use, but at a very reasonable price. Yes, the RDX brand is not yet luxurious. But as your first pair of shin guards, there will be plenty of them. You can't beat the price. Maybe on some REV Gears, but some say there's too much padding. I have 5 students who like to wear them. They also don't rotate as much as other shin guards. Less, reinstall. Just choose the right size. Have fun with your studying.
