Bought one of these for my HTPC setup. The battery lasts at least a month with regular use and is super responsive. In a large living room there are no problems with the range. I actually replaced my first block which was damaged by kids repeatedly dropping it and I would do it again without a second thought. I also bought one for my nephew so he can control his laptop while connected to the tv, thus contributing to the post-teen's laziness, but it made him happy!
