I screwed it into the hose connected to my portable air generator with no problem. I used some teflon tape to prevent leaks. I used it today to inflate all 4 tires on my car with no problems. The all-metal design of the head meant I could use the perpendicular end of the bit as a fulcrum to attach it to the bar shank without risking breaking parts.
