I used to use urea based lotions for skin problems on my hands so I had some experience before getting these. The type I used before was based on a recipe, so I think it might be stronger than this one. Other than that, it worked pretty well for me for about a week. Urea is said to be better at restoring the broken skin barrier in the top layer than regular lotions (which tend to promote better healing through moisturizing). I liked its consistency as it is thinner than some making it easier to apply and massage in. I've found that it's also easier to use in smaller amounts. There is no smell, which I also liked. This is also quite economical for a urea-based lotion, but it's mainly useful for people with skin conditions who need a slightly stronger than normal lotion to heal.
