I bought this because the fabric I was using for my necklace was starting to fray and tear and I was afraid I would lose my Hei Matua in the process. I used about 10 inches to make the necklace and I use a special knot (can't remember the name) so it slips over the thread and I can tighten it however I please. I didn't realize how stretchy the product is so sometimes I had to alter the length and cut more off, but since there was so much in the bag it didn't bother me. It's nice, soft and easy to work with, so for the low price it was worth it.
