Review on Enhance Your Audio Experience with the WAudio Audiophile AC Power Cable - 10AWG HiFi Power Cord 5FT by Jonathan Yang

You can hear the difference, but check these connections!

I was looking for a decent, inexpensive cable for my incoming "Chi-Fi" linear power supply and came across WAudio. While waiting for the LPS to arrive from China, I decided to test the cable on my Yamaha AS-1100 amp. Before doing anything I wanted to check the build quality and I'm glad I did. This may have been an isolated incident, but when I opened the plug I saw wires sticking out on the hot wire that weren't securely fastened in the terminal and the ground wire wasn't fully screwed in. The connections at the other end were fine. The wire gauge seems to be less than 10AWG but still thick enough. Tons of insulation and a good mesh screen as advertised. Be careful with the screws for the outer case. They started to undress as I put everything back together. The plug connection is firmly fixed in the socket. The connection on the amp is a little loose, but that could be my amp. As someone who has never believed that power cords can make a difference, I was surprised to hear the difference in this cord. With my powerful, very capable Klipsch Forte speakers, the highs and mids are noticeably more forward (almost to the margin of error) and the stereo image sounds more focused and detailed. I need to keep listening, but the cymbals and snare drums sound almost slightly distorted. Klipsch Fortes are unforgiving, and some amps can actually make your ears bleed with fatigue. The softer, more forgiving nature of my AS-1100 that I liked became quite harsh with the WAudio cable, which was my first indication that something had changed. I enjoy the clarity but my ears get tired after a few albums. Overall not bad for the price. I don't think I could do it cheaper by hand and the components are good for the price. I can order a second cable but will definitely double check the connections.
