We have been using this royal mattress topper for about 2 weeks and it needs to be adjusted DAILY as it feels too big for our standard deep pocketed mattress. I double-checked that we were the right size, which we did, and also checked our mattress measurements; everything was right. It slides off at the top (in the area of the pillow) and in the end by morning it completely disappears from the two upper corners, tearing the sheet with it. It's absolutely annoying having to adjust it and the sheet every morning. Our mattress is a Mattress Firm mattress topper. As for its cooling abilities, it seems to be pretty good. I don't know how waterproof it is as we didn't spill anything on it. It's soft, silky and I think that's why it glides so easily. In terms of comfort, it is comfortable to sleep on and fits well under the sheet. I'll try the leaf/strap adjusters to see if they hold it in place better. Update: 09/09/21 The sheet adjustment straps work well to keep the mattress pad in place. We also switched from a fitted sheet to a flat sheet, which is a bit unusual but seems like a good combination that fits our dilemma well.
