Review on Projector Supported Compatible Computer Entertainment Office Electronics by Robert Pearson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For the price there is nothing better.

I needed something that was more portable and just worked. This is what you are looking for and I don't see how it can be so affordable. First I want to eliminate the flaws to make room for the good stuff. First, this device MUST be placed in the exact center of the screen. It has good vertical keystone correction that works great near the focus of the lens. Horizontal keystone doesn't exist, and for $100 I wouldn't expect it to be necessarily included. Second, it plays from USB, but there's no documentation on what formats you can play. However, it plays 24-bit flac, which was a bit surprising while my mp4 files were not playing. No big deal, most of us use HDMI anyway. It will be good. It appears to be 720p, but the computer recognizes it as 1080p 60Hz and scales perfectly. The picture is clear, dark but clear. I definitely recommend using it without a window and as with most projectors this is usually the case. However, in the video I'm posting, the scene in the first few minutes of "Baby Driver" is in a lighted room, which isn't bad at all. For reference, the image is 32 inches diagonal and the projector is 5 feet away. Again, sound quality isn't usually a priority with projectors, but this one hits the mark. Volume. It's getting loud enough to watch a soccer game with friends but I would still recommend external audio for clarity. Speaking of volume, the fan isn't intrusive like most halogen LCDs. It hardly heats up and the picture is bright straight away, no warm-up time, no excessive heat and therefore less fan noise. Now for the remote control. Another reviewer complained. As you can see, mine is black too. It works with the device and I'm assuming it's just a regular remote control. I wouldn't worry about that as it still works as intended. The buttons on the unit are too narrow and I often press the wrong function, so I definitely recommend keeping the remote handy if you don't have pinky fingers. Tl;dr; If you're looking for a projector that won't break the bank, but will hit every box in every projector within a $100-$500 budget, with the exception of a small keystone quirk, then it's a great device. Note; Do not use "surround" sound on the device. Stereo sounds a lot better. The surround equalizer is muddy, but the standard equalizer is much clearer. Another reviewer complained.
