I'm 5'10" slim, weigh 160 lbs and wear 31x32 pants. After reading all the reviews I bought the small size as other reviewers said it was better to go down a size When I tried them on, I was immediately struck by how oddly they fit - the legs are fairly roomy and the waist was large enough to accommodate my 32 inches, but the crotch was very high (as I expected) when I got one would try on "small" pants) and the hips were too narrow (as I would expect from a "small" size) went for medium, will probably be too big in those areas so I will Sending pants back As for the other features of the pants, they are a mid-weight brushed cotton (not light/warm weather pants!) similar to Walls and have an elastic waistband that is flared but NOT adjustable .egg An "adjustable" waist means there are B buttons or Velcro that can be adjusted to a specific size. They have an elastic band that slides in and out to accommodate a larger waist. If you're 5'6" and 125 pounds with a small waist, big beer belly and 32" legs, these pants will probably fit you perfectly. For the rest of us. not very suitable.
