Nice stools but plastic foot pads don't last long

These stools are very nice and match the photo and description online. I bought 4 stools for our kitchen island and they look beautiful. The only problem is that after a few months of use, the plastic legs on the bottom of the legs are almost all broken. If the part that touches the floor breaks, the remaining plastic slides into the leg due to the design, so there's nothing to attach felt pads to protect the hardwood floor except the thin outer edge of the metal.
