I bought this to swim laps at the pool. The material is thick for me, it was hot for me to swim. However, it will come in handy in the winter when it's cooler. After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase. I would not recommend this unless you want your rash to be relieved. Normally, a rashguard should fit snugly against your skin to protect you from abrasions while surfing. I keep this purchase, it's normal for my use. As I said, the material is thick, the construction above average and worth the money. I bought a medium size I'm 5'5 120lbs.
