They are slightly larger and definitely a lot stronger than the mini clips sold on Amazon. other mini clips are so tiny that they are difficult to manipulate and bend for my use. I use them to tie knots on the ends of a long paracord to use as a clothesline when camping. It's easy to attach a loop to a branch and fasten it to yourself without tying, i.e. without undoing the knots when removing them. I just "upgraded" to these clamps from the "mini" and with clothes on the rope in 30mph winds they don't bother. Also, it's a lot easier to get paracord in and out than the tiny ones without having to use a much larger size that doesn't have the perfect hole to pull the 550 paracord through.
