I purchased XHF tubing to wrap labels on 12/3 extensions (stings) for film/tv work. The tube becomes a bit stiff when it shrinks, but it adheres very well to the substrate and is easy to work with. In my experience, it shrinks to just under a third of its diameter. Make sure you use a circular diameter when measuring the item you want to shrink to, as this is how manufacturers measure their tubes; It comes flattened in the package, but the height of the flattened tube is not its diameter. When flattened, the height of the circle is half its circumference (C = 3.14 xd), so C/2 = the flattened height of the circle.
