This king size bed skirt with split corners is beautifully crafted from pure cotton, satin and fabric. The bed surround is designed to fit over the springs but under the mattress, creating a border that hides things stored under the bed. . The length you choose (called the halyard) should be based on the measurement from the top of the spring block to the ground. Nowadays, many people no longer use a box spring and simply place their mattress on a platform bed frame. You can use a bed frame with some platform bed frames, but you may need to pin, pin, or sew it at all four corners to keep it in place. This is what I did since I have a platform bed frame. I have used bed skirts for many years and I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest pieces I have ever used. It's made from 100% cotton with a high thread count and a smooth, silky satin weave. The haircut is perfect. The hem is neat. All seams are French which means they are sewn to prevent fraying. But what surprised me the most was that the deck, which is the panel that sits under the mattress and is never shown, is made from the same superb fabric as the fabric of the skirt! It is usually very cheap or even non-woven and almost always tears at some point. I have never seen flooring made from the same fabric as the skirt, except for very expensive bed skirts that cost $100 and up! There are reverse pleats on the sides and the two corners at the end are split and have a separate center panel to keep the corners clean. If you have a four-poster bed, you can use it, but you'll probably need to remove the separate center panel for it to hang properly. Materials and phenomenal price.
