Review on Renewed Logitech K800 Wireless πŸ’‘ Illuminated Keyboard: Brighter, Better, and More Convenient by Aneta Zubrzycka ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product did not disappoint, the quality pleases.

I needed a keyboard with good backlighting and to keep the charge normally. Firstly, it is too big - for a portable device that will be used either in a chair, or on a sofa, or somewhere else - the design is very strange. It could well have been 5-6 cm narrower and a couple of centimeters shorter in length. Plus stupid sharp edges around the perimeter. It's probably fine for constantly lying on the table - but there is a much more convenient wired keyboard on the table. Secondly, the sensor for the approach of hands works, don’t understand, on something on a nearby piece of iron, then on laminated surfaces - that is, the backlight does not turn off until you remove the keyboard to another place. I wanted to keep it on the bottom shelf of the sofa table - but there it always burns. The shelf is wooden, what she reacts to there is unclear. You can turn off this sensor only for a very short time - whatever you choose in the Logitech Options settings - after a few minutes the keyboard will switch to the sensor again. I tried both on win7 and on win10 - I ated the logitech software several times - to no purpose. For me, this is one of the most serious shortcomings. The light sensor also does not turn off and sometimes manifests itself despite the set backlight level - but this does not seem to bother much. Typing 2022 text is excellent - the letters are large and bright, with Latin - a bit of a problem - the letters are smaller and due to this dimmer, they are lost against the background of 2022s. The left shift is a mockery, why a duplicate "/" is needed there is a mystery. From review to review, people write about this - but Logitech does not seem to be interested. In my copy, there is another feature - a non-removable battery. Under the cover of its compartment is just a white plastic keyboard case. What is inside now is unknown, it will not work to change without a complete analysis of the clave. I hope to change the keyboard before he dies. for half a year of use - the minuses have not gone away, but they have ceased to matter. Claudia is great. Not perfect - but close.

Pros
  • Excellent backlight, full-size, pleasant clicks, capacious battery, universal transmitter for several devices.
Cons
  • Crooked hand sensor, crooked software or brains in the keyboard, the size is larger than it could be, a very high price tag, one color for 2022 / Latin letters, a short left shift.
