Measuring just about 7 inches from base to handle tip, this bell mug fits comfortably in your hand and provides some much-needed relief. The base of the dome is NOT perfectly flat (a little ripple on it), but that's fine. This makes it easier to remove the bell from your skin without feeling like the plunger is sticking to your body. The wood is smooth (except for the inside of the dome, but it doesn't touch your skin, so it doesn't matter) and durable. You can press it hard and don't worry about it breaking. If you've never used a call before, it takes a little getting used to. especially any "rings" that may remain on the skin. You may not feel the results right away, but after just a few minutes a day for a week or so in areas that need some relief, you'll notice a big difference. I can recommend this massager!
