I like the adjustable belt because my son is skinny. They are a bit large (as expected) for my son as he is tiny but I just hem the length which is great for his size along with the adjustable waistband. My only negative comment: I wish the pants were a bit thicker as little boys are rude with their uniforms. To reinforce this area I sewed on extra knee pads which will hopefully increase the lifespan of the pants.
