A good, well-made flashlight. First to the product. The flask is completely sealed in the cavity. I'm pretty sure they filled it with hot silicone and then let it cool so the whole block was sealed. The light output is equivalent to an old-fashioned incandescent night light or stage lighting in cinemas. (Remember, it's only 0.1W and warm white.) First, you can use the unit as a template to drill holes for the screws, but you may need to add a center hole for cable management, which isn't listed in the instructions, depending on your configuration. However, if you don't have some sort of conduit and want the back of this unit to be flush with the surface, you'll need to drill an extra hole to run the wires through. (Although the block is airtight, I always try to use best practice, so I drilled holes for the wiring in the wood at a slight downward angle to prevent water from entering the block from the back.) Which brings me to the second. Cons (no pun intended hehe) but the braid is only about 5 inches long.
