I bought these because we have an old TV mounted on the wall in the guest room and the HDMI cable plugs right into the back at a 90 degree angle, so it interferes The TV can be as close to the wall as we'd like. $7 later we're ready to go and I have a spare that I'm sure I'll need one day. It works great, I just plugged it in and turned on the TV and it works the same as before. . Seems to be a good adapter. I haven't tested 3D or 4k, but I have no reason to believe it won't work as advertised.
