My goal was to use it the same as the Mob Armor Steel Disc. You can place it anywhere and that surface becomes the base for the magnetic attachments. When I get them I see that they have a special purpose which explains why they are so thin. They are used in reverse as they attach to devices that are placed on magnetic bases. So the panels themselves are something of a calling card, and the self-adhesive backing is just as lightweight. me as I was expecting them to be more like spaces, but I can see where they can be useful. It would be helpful if the product description specified the thickness.
