Correct. I use it to store my small 3ft tall Christmas tree as I could not find a tree storage bag that fits a small tree. It works very well: the tree fits in perfectly - there was no need to fold the branches. or even remove the top of the tree and a small storage bag/box in the base is used to store the remote control power supply and a small power strip. It's not exactly perfect in this capacity as it has an open side. But the zippered straps keep the tree in the bag well, and I've hung it in my closet with the open end facing the back of the closet to minimize that little "problem". And I can store it upright instead of on its side so I don't have to bend down a lot to reshape the tree over the next year.
