I have very sensitive skin so I usually get a lot of irritation when shaving which honestly is the last thing I want, especially on such a sensitive area. I used it right after shaving and then applied morning and night for the following days. My usual redness and irritation lasts for several days no matter what I do and by the next morning it was gone. I've shaved for a week and no ingrown hairs either. It's a lifesaver and I'm so thankful that I can avoid discomfort almost entirely. It's also a very large bottle so I won't have to replace it for some time, but I'll order again when it's gone.
