This is a very pretty backpack and I am so glad all the embroidery is neatly sewn on. It's quite small but since I'll be using it as a purse it fits me fine, but be aware that this won't be the right backpack if you're looking for a lot of stuff. While the magnetic closure may not be the most secure, there are two straps that I believe could be used to further secure the opening. Haven't had any issues with the clasp so far so haven't tried using ties. There are enough pockets in the backpack to securely store all my belongings (keys, phone, lip balm, glasses etc) including a book (which I often carry with me) Up until now (I've only had a bag briefly and I have it not used too much) it's a beautiful and useful bag.
