Warm blankets for cold weather

I ordered full/king but unfortunately it is too big for my king duvet - I have at least 7 inches of loose fabric on the sides. It doesn't even work with a full size duvet - maybe a double size will do. My duvet slides in too, so I attached it with safety pins to each button at the top (see pic). On the other hand, the color is bright and adds charm to our bedroom. My husband also noticed that this comforter gives more warmth than our regular comforter alone. For the price I got what I paid for and I am a happy camper.
