Heavy, well made lap table

I wouldn't call this Kavalan lap table ultra light - it weighs almost three pounds. I feel the weight every time I lift it. The lap table is solid and well built, but it's heavier than other lap tables I've used in the past. Two knee pads under the table provide ample padding for your knees while allowing air to circulate. The cushion pads are filled with foam balls. The palm rest at the top is soft, feels like foam rubber. The palm rest is 1 inch high to keep the laptop from sliding off, but my arms are tilted down. If I have to type a lot, it becomes uncomfortable. The distance between the palm rest and the pen and phone slot is 8¼ inches. I have a 13" MacBook Pro and the edge of my laptop's hinge rests on the pen slot. The pen slot is raised, it's not flush with the surface of the lap table, so my laptop sits on top of that slot. The design is really beautiful. Other lap tables I've used in the past have had the top covered with wrapped paper to mimic the texture of wood. The plastic top of this desk has a white oak structure. The edges are neat, the pillows are sewn well, there are no protruding threads and bumps.
