We used this for our children's Christmas choir. One of the boxes I received was sent back to the company and then resold (I know this because one of the candles contained batteries and half the candles were broken). We managed to get most of them fixed and working, but even in other packages a few candles fell apart when we opened them to put the batteries inside. As long as you don't lose the tiny spring that falls out, it's pretty easy to put together, it just takes a long time. Once we put them all together they worked great. They only flicker if you don't unscrew them all the way, which is more of a bug than a feature, but they flickered as promised. On the day of the fair we only had one fault. Overall they worked very well for what we needed and we were satisfied. I would order them again if given the choice so I'd recommend giving them a try if you don't mind maybe having to put a few together.
