Tried to connect to PC with my LG 4K TV and kept encountering issues like no connection, picture distortion or flickering white dots on the screen. It's an 18ft barrel (20ft cable) so it's still within tolerance. Didn't know there were active HDMI cables or even fiber optic HDMI cables. I knew about Monoprice but never paid attention. I bought one to see if it would solve my problems. Follow the instructions and connect the device end to the device and the TV end to the TV. and viola! Now my PC has no trouble connecting to the TV and I can play on the big screen with no device lag thanks to things like SteamLink or NVidia Shield TV.
